I recently went on a trip to San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica, where we had the opportunity to build a house for a family in a poor neighbourhood. Throughout the week, many children would come out to play with us. This boy readily and enthusiastically agreed to pose for a photo.

To me, long-exposure photography is beautiful for many reasons, but this picture highlights one of those in particular.
Anything is possible at night, including, but in no way limited to, bending light.

Turns out, perching your camera atop a safety railing and praying it doesn’t fall works just as well as using a tripod.
